Hello!
My name is Carlos Sainz and I’m the founder of Global Music Studio. I’m really glad you’ve come here to find out a bit more about my work. Let me tell you a little bit about myself...
I’ve been working professionally in music composition, production, recording and mixing for over 25 years. I currently combine my work as an electric guitar teacher at the Getafe Municipal School of Music (Madrid, Spain) with my studio work. I have worked (sometimes on recordings and other times on tour) with established artists such as: Miguel Ríos, Carlos Baute, Francisco Céspedes, Julio Iglesias Jr., Sherpa and Mago de Oz. I have also made occasional live appearances with Marta Sánchez, Nek, Alex Ubago, Pastora Soler and on the television show
‘La Voz’. On other occasions, I have worked as a producer and musician with lesser-known artists such as: Agoraphobia, Zazo&Gxourmet, Tristán Simone, Corea la Buena, Dear Audrey and Zález.
I also have extensive experience in the audiovisual sector, composing original music for advertising, television, theatre, film and documentary projects. I have worked for companies such as: Brothers Films, Transglobe Films, Neoatlantis, RTVE, Antena 3, Telecinco, Grey, Ogilvy & Mather, Warner Music and Sony Publishing, amongst others.
Regardless of the size, scope or impact of each project, my approach has always been the same: to offer the highest level of commitment, quality, sensitivity and attention to detail.
I will always work with passion and enthusiasm to give you the very best I have to offer. That’s just how I do things.

Remi steals the documents (Ratatouille)
This is my personal version of the famous chase scene through Paris from the movie Ratatouille.
Created entirely using the Spitfire BBCSO library in Logic Pro.
Music in the style of classic Hollywood films
This is my composition entitled "35 mm", in which I have sought to recreate the sounds of the film music that I like the most, that of Hollywood from the 40s, 50s and 60s.
In it I explore aesthetics such as romantic comedy, musical theatre, Hitchcock-style mystery and, of course, the western!
It is performed by "Orquesta Filarmonía de Madrid", conducted by Rafael Albiñana.
2020 Tour of Spain (Production and arrangements)
In 2020, I had the privilege of arranging and producing the official theme song of the "Vuelta a España", composed and performed by Carlos Baute.

Ambilamp (Advertising)
Project for an advertisement for the company Ambilamp.
The rhythm section is performed by street musician Dr. Bucketman and was created using recycled paint buckets and pans.
Sleepy Bunnie (Orchestral writting)
In this short piece, I draw inspiration from the sounds and style of the music composed for classic Warner Bros. cartoons

It was recorded using my phone's camera and microphone. There's no editing or audio overdubs.
